Annie was wishing for some Sunflowers. These lovely Sunflower Engravings are from the cover of some Antique Sheet Music.
Jennifer requested some Beachy Images, I found this wonderful Seahorse in an Antique Dictionary that I just picked up recently. There are lots more Beachy Images in my "The Sea" category.
And lastly, ExcuseMeDesigns was searching for a graphic of Big Ben. This one is from a very Old London Guide Book. I'm not sure how usuable it is, since the Big Ben is fairly small, but I will keep this one on my list, in hopes that I come across a better one soon!
Well, that's all for this time. Do you have a request for an image? If so please leave it here in the comments section of this post, then check back next month to see if I found your graphic (Sorry but I can't fill every request, I usually pick a few each time).

I think these b/w Big Ben images are beautiful! They would make a great background if faded. Then I can overlay some other image on it. Sigh! So many ideas rush to my head when I see your posts each day but I don't have enough time to implement them :) Thanks anyway for keeping me dreaming and inspired!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I love your pictures. I add your button on my webside www.jane-austen.cba.pl because I really love all of your works.

I'm searching for a vintage, COLOR drawing of wisteria blooms, or a wisteria vine with blooms hanging down, etc. An old-fashioned, color photo would be okay, too (like from an old postcard?). Thanks so much for all you do! The History Lady

ReplyDeleteYour art is always fun to look at. I thought you would like to know that when i click on "you might also like" - all i ever get is the proflower website. It doesn't take me to any images. Just advertising.

ReplyDeleteAll your images are amazing!!! You are so generous. With 5 de Mayo coming up. I was wandering if you could find some Mexican inspired art. Maybe some vintage travel posters, patterns, tiles, architecture, antique advertising, folk art, engravings ANYTHING along those lines. I think it will be also neat to have "dia de muertos" images. Any way just a suggestions. Thank you for your time and for sharing
ReplyDeleteI've been a long time follower, but this will be my first request. I've recently started a blogging meme about reading in bed on Sundays, and I was hoping you could find a graphic that shows either a woman reading in bed, or a book on a bed... something along those lines? Not sure if there's anything out there that fits, but I didn't think it would hurt to ask. Thank you for posting so many wonderful pictures, I can't imagine the work you must put into this site, but it's impressive!
ReplyDeleteLove your site, was wondering if you could find some vintage feedsacks, I'm sure it has been asked for before as its very popular.
ReplyDeleteI would love love LOVE if you could find old illustrations of cacti.
ReplyDeleteHow about a horizontal (portrait) pharmacy or apothecary label? I want to do a dresser similar to the French label for my husband who is a pharmacist.
