I few years back, I had posted a similar image to this one, in fact it was the same Girl holding a Nest with Eggs, but on an advertising piece. I was surprised to come across this one where she is shown on a postcard. The coloring is much more subdued on this one, but still very pretty. I also liked the handwritten Paris Address on the back of the card, and the Paris Postmark on the Stamp!

Thank you Karen - this image is so sweet.

ReplyDeleteI love looking up old addresses to see what is there now...so I looked up 36 rue Rambuteau in Paris and though I am sure when the post card was originally mailed there were private residences on the street now there are stores and a modern art museum across the street. :)
ReplyDeleteAt the risk of appearing stupid, I need to know if there is any way to print out this image. I really want to use it on a decoupage project! I tried save as, and then printed it but the image was very blurred. Help?
ReplyDeleteThanks!
Hi Sanna, You want to click on the image first to enlarge it. It will open in a new window, then save it. That will give you the largest size and the highest quality. This is a high resolution 300 dpi scan, so it should print out nicely after you enlarge it.
