These pretty Antique China Plate Graphics came from an Old Wanamaker's Dept Store Catalog, that I picked up recently. Most likely they date to around 1880-1890. The original is the black and white, but I had fun making a few more colors for you to choose from! I think the black one would look really nice transferred onto Place Mats along with my Vintage Utensil images. Similar to this project HERE.

lovely as usuall :)

Awesome Karen! Had to {LOL} because I already did a placemat for this next week's BRAG MONDAY party using your folk, spoon and knife (finished it on Wed as a matter of fact) but left the middle blank. But thanks to this latest addition, I will add it to it too!
ReplyDeleteAre you psychic?
See you Monday morning,

Dear Karen,
ReplyDeleteI've wanted for weeks to thank you for the gorgeous graphics you share with us every day. While I haven't yet been able to incorporate them into any work, they've been a daily feast for the eyes.
I've voted for you on the site trying to determine the best blog for Moms and have done so successfully. However, I wanted you to know that I'm now getting error messages (assume one can vote once a day) that prevent me from giving my daily thumbs-up. The message looks like this and I thought you'd want to know so that the webmaster can set things straight, as I wouldn't want it to harm your #1 rank.
Best,
Natalie:

Happy New Year Karen and thank you so much for the wonderful pictures you give us xx
ReplyDeleteLove those plates and thanks for the colors! I am looking at your alphabets because I would like to make labels for some of my kitchen items using them. Thank you again SO much!
ReplyDeleteLovely! I think this would be great with text (or monogram) in the center of these.
ReplyDeleteHi Natalie,
ReplyDeleteWow, I didn't realize you could vote every day! I just tried voting for one of the other bloggers and got the same message, I'm wondering if it's closed for the year now. Thanks for letting me know!
Maggie,
You can post a request for that on my Request day post. You can find it by clicking on the email button at the top of my blog, and then click on the "Request" button, then just leave a comment on the post.
Love the plates! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThe most charming plates ever!
ReplyDeleteI hate to sound foolish amongst the craft wizards, but how should I transfer this image onto fabric?
ReplyDeleteThe Student
How do these images transfer? I think I've heard of transfer paper, but never used it. Is there a best brand? I can just see everyone who reads this, rolling their eyes!
ReplyDeleteThanks,
The Student
Hi Barbara,
ReplyDeleteThere are loads of different ways to transfer, you can really transfer onto just about any surface that you can think of! If you check out my DIY Blog or my Craft Blog you can find numerous techniques and project ideas. Just go to the top of my blog and click on DIY or CRAFTS (just under my Header) to go there. Once you get there, just click on the "Transfer" categories in the sidebar.
Wow, that blue version is really quite gorgeous :-) Can't wait to use it for something!
