Vintage Clip Art - Awesome Owl with Banner

A very sweet reader named Lili, sent me this fantastic vintage Owl image today! I just love it and I couldn't wait to share it with you guys!! You can see the original at the bottom, this was a sticker inside of an old book that she owns. I removed the background and converted it to black and white and then I also removed the wording on a second version, so that you can add your own. This would make an awesome bookplate, label, blog button, invitation etc. The possibilities are endless, with this image, because of the banner in his beak. Too fabulous!! Thank you Lili!!

Isn't this fabulous?!! This gorgeous page of feathers was provided by my blog pal Mary Green. I'm particularly fond of the Peacock feather and the Ostrich plume, so gorgeous!! These came out of an old French Dictionary. I've included a high res printable, so that you can print this out and frame it, if you like. Thanks Mary!

Here's a fun antique (circa 1870's) Bay Rum Label!! I just loved the shield shape of the frame around this! I removed the writing, so that you can make your own labels with this. I think it would make a great little blog button too!

Vintage Graphic - Amazingly Beautiful Pink Water Lily - Lotus

This antique card shows an amazingly beautiful pink Water Lily!!! I really like the original just the way it is, with the pretty Mountain scene and Pine trees behind, but I thought I would separate the Lily out so that you could have the option to use it alone. I think the flower, on it's own, looks like a Lotus Blossom.

This is a wonderful engraving of Joan of Arc! Here we see her wearing an armored top with a skirt!! It looks like there is some type of castle or fortress in the background. This one comes from an 1860s book.

Vintage Advertising Clip Art - Darling Dutch Girl

This is a wonderful antique advertising piece! Here we have a darling Dutch girl, made to advertise Uneeda Bisquits. This was probably originally used as a store display, as it's quite large in person, and is made of heavy cardboard. I've scanned it and cleaned it up, and I've made a few versions for you, so that you have some options. I love how brightly colored this one is!
I forgot to add... this one is for Gr8Dame, who requested some Dutch children!

Thursday is Request Day - Eye Glasses, Beehive, Mr Darcy, Barn

It's Thursday so that means it's request day here at TGF!

Here's what I found for you this week:

Several people have asked me for eye glasses or old time spectacles, over the last few months. I was pretty excited to find these, with the eyes in them and all! These come from an 1880's catalog.

Kristi was wishing for a Beehive for her parent's homemade Honey! This brown one is classically shaped and the Bees are included!

Tracy has been searching for Darcy-esque Men. I couldn't resist that one as I'm a huge Pride and Prejudice fan and a huge Colin Firth fan as well. Just ask my husband!! Okay getting back on topic... these men come from an old Costume book, lent to me by my good friend Ted. Thanks Ted!

And lastly Meryl requested a Barn. This one came out of an antique 1880's reference book. This one looks so neat and tidy!

Well, that's all for this week. Do you have a request for an image? If so please leave it here in the comments section of my Request Day post, and then check back on Thursday to see if I found your requested image (Sorry but I can't fill every request, I usually pick a few each week). Each week I go back and check under my Thursday posts to find what your looking for, it's so much easier for me that way. I'm afraid I'm a very disorganized Fairy, so please, please please Do Not email requests to me, I most likely will loose it if you do. So sorry but I'm a complete mess when it comes to email! I'm afraid they're just aren't enough hours in the day to answer them all, and then I feel horribly guilty.

P.S. Don't forget to use the search page here on my blog, you might find that the image you want is already here!

Isn't this charming?!! This is a Victorian Scrap Die cut piece, featuring a colorful bird in a pretty cage!! In person, this is quite a tiny piece, but I enlarged it for you to make it more useful and cleaned up some damaged areas as well. This would be cute on a card or made into a sticker!!

Antique Images - Fabulous French Graphic Frames

Well, I've been a busy little Beaver today! I scanned this gorgeous antique French Frame this morning, and then I couldn't stop playing with it, because it's that beautiful!! Or at least... I think it is and I hope you do too. Anyway, this frame is from an antique 1850's Paris print. The original version was vertical, as you see at the top. I wanted to create a horizontal version of it, so I cut it in half, mirrored it and then reconnected the 2 halves to bring you the second version. I created a few other options in some fun colors too!

And then lastly I made it into a Blog header, in Chocolate brown. You can grab this version for your blog HERE on my other blog.

Antique Ephemera Clip Art - Printable Marriage Certificate

Click HERE for the Full Size Printable PDF

This beautiful antique marriage certificate comes from a circa 1880s book. It's actually a sample of a marriage certificate. I love that it's blank and can be customized so that you can use it as you like! I've included a high resolution printable for you so that you can download it and print it out. I also think each individual graphic on the page, could be used for different purposes, so I split out the word "Marriage" and the oval floral frame. They are both so lovely!
If you like this one... you might also like the "Family Record Certificate", similar to this one, HERE.
