Yesterday I received a fantastic gigantic 1920's Catalog in the mail, full of all kinds of wonderful Hardware and Household images! As wonderful as the images are, I can't even begin to tell you how bad it smelled!! Ugh! The cover was hardbound and full of mold and mildew, it had to go straight to the garage, where I removed the covers and promptly threw them in the trash. Thankfully you guys can enjoy the images without the smell, trust me it was bad! Anyway, a few people have asked me about Vintage Mason Jar Graphics lately, and I thought this Ball Jar was super cute! The black and white is the original, but I had fun making the Blue one with the Zinc colored lid, and there's a second version with a blank space, so that you can use it as a Label or Tag for your homemade concoctions! You can grab those too if you like! Be sure and check out my other Mason Jar Images too!

Love it!!! Thank you so much for your Vintage Clip Art everyday!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for these wonderful jars! Sorry you had to go through what you did (I would be in the hospital with an asthma attack!)but they are wonderful images!

Thank you for enduring the mold and mildew for us. A friend dumps stinky books into a bag of kitty litter, seals the bag and lets the odor absorber stuff work its magic. Apparently, after a week or so, no smell. Who knew?
ReplyDeleteI love Mason jars these images are just great!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day.
Always, Queenie
Thanks everyone!
ReplyDeleteNancy Lee, I will definitely try that! Thanks for the tip!

ReplyDeleteI adore Ball jars. I have a bunch of them. A friend gave me a gallon one years ago that she was going to throw out! I'm thinking the one with the space to be used as a label is perfect for my sister in law! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteThank you for braving the moldy pages!
ReplyDeleteThis image brought back so many pleasant memories. My mother used to use Ball jars when she did her canning every year. The house would smell like whatever she was canning...raspberries, peaches, apples...etc. She made some of the BEST jams and jellies! We rarely bought any from the store. God how I miss her!! She passed away in '97 and not a day goes by that I don't miss her.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for every image you share with us and for going through the mold and mildew to do it. :)
Nora, Thanks for sharing your memories with all of us! It sounds like your dear Mother was quite a cook!!
ReplyDeleteI love these!
ReplyDeleteI love the emails from you...it's like Christmas everyday!

ReplyDeleteOh these jars are lovely. thank you for enduring the stink to scan these!
ReplyDeleteCrumpled up newspapers are great at absorbing odor too. I don't know how they work, but they do.
I Love it, I Love it, I Love it... Thanks for the image.
ReplyDeleteGreatings from Holland!!
Great images! You can also bury the book in baking soda. Don't know how long it would take, I think it would depend on how moldy it is. You could also try lavender flowers. Don't use the baking soda on leather or fur, though, it will stiffen it. Good Luck!
ReplyDeletethanks so much, it was just what I was looking for!
ReplyDeleteCan't believe I missed these, thanks so much for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI love Ball jars! I can't imagine how you endured the mold and the smell, my asthma would have done me in!
ReplyDeleteI am a novice with "transfers" so am wondering how to place these on material? Is that something you could share with me?

Hi, these are great! I have a question for you though. Is is possible to make the image (the blank jar) transparent both around the exterior of the jar and interior? Thank you!

ReplyDeleteThank you for providing your Mason jar graphics! I needed a version without a lid (for an art project for my kids). I started with your graphic, and just re-worked the top. Here is what I came up with:
