This circa 1870 Natural History print shows the most extraordinary looking Pink Bird!! I'm so in love with this color! The bird is a Two Barred Crossbill. I've created an Instant Art Print so that you can frame it right up!

Pretty bird! Thank you!

He's a beauty. But I'm seeing him as more orange than pink. TY.

ReplyDeleteso pretty karen. thanks for all that you do and for all of the "pretties" that you share with us :)
ReplyDeleterkramadh & John, Yes, it's a sort of melon pink or salmon type color. Every monitor is different and that can affect the color that you see, it looks a bit more pink to me, but I could see where it could look orange too!
ReplyDeleteThx so much Karen for the beautiful bird images. They will be used with thoughts of your generosity.
ReplyDeleteI have an old window that I found at an antiques place outside Helena, MT. I sanded it down, dry brushed and rubbed paint off, put chicken wire on back of it. Then my husband installed a pair of old narrow shutters. He left the shutters out a bit and installed a shelf between them on bottom of the window. This gives it a great look. I wish I had a digital camera so I could show you. I use that window for many themes and holidays. It's hanging above our tv in center of one wall in living room. When people come over they always notice the window and ask where they can get one.
I used to have it hanging over our bed but my husband said it made him uneasy in case it should fall on our heads, lol, good point huh?
I had several of the old wood windows that I had to leave in KY when we moved to CO. Sure wish I still had them as we could fix them up to sell. Just thought I'd tell you about the window, I'm currently contemplating what I'll do now that I've taken all the Christmas stuff off the window.
For me it's too early to make it valentiney. Think I'm going to print out some of the bird images and put them behind each of the four "window panes". I have several "faux" bird's nests so can do something with one/some of them. Sorry this is so long.
Senior PaperCrafter,
