Well, for the first time in a very long time, I didn't post an image last night. My husband and I went out to dinner, and I ate something that did not agree with me, I spent many hours in pain last night and never made it to my computer to post. Ugh. I thought this Vintage Poison label was appropriate for today, since I felt like I had been poisoned last night! This one is for Arsenic, it has the traditional Skull and Cross Bones on the label, and even an antidote! Great for your Halloween projects!

heh - i used to live in Boonville...California! love it. sorry you were sick, tho!

ReplyDeleteHomeopaths use arsenic to treat food poisoning. Was that just a tidy coincidence?

ReplyDeleteI bet it's your gallbladder! You can have attacks even if you have no gall stones, especially after eating rich or fatty foods. The pain is excruciating!! My first attack was after eating guacamole at a superbowl party. I had the old thing taken out two days later! Much better after that and since. You might want to have it checked out if it happens again. Thanks for the post. Feel better!
ReplyDeleteHi Karen! Hope you're feeling better soon! I, too, had one of those episodes last night after dinner. Problem was, I made it!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the label, also. Was curious about Boonville (only 4 counties away from us), so looked it up on Wikipedia:
'President Abraham Lincoln studied law in Boonville. When Abraham Lincoln and his family moved from Kentucky to present-day Spencer County in 1816, their homestead was then considered to be within Boonville's Warrick County boundaries. The future president frequently walked to Boonville to borrow books and watch local attorney John Brackenridge argue cases, thus earning Boonville the distinction of being "where Lincoln learned the law."'
Take care!
