Click HERE for the Full Size Printable PDFThis is a circa 1830's Paris print! The print shows a women in an Opera Costume, she looks like a Queen with her pink fur trimmed dress, jewels and tiara! This is the sister print to the one that I posted HERE, awhile back. They would look cute framed together!

This one is stunning! I can see many projects using her, many thanks!
ReplyDeleteThe identity of the *queen* is clearly stated on the print (Francoise de Foix). She is not *in costume* in the 1850s but appropriately attired for the 16th century era in which she lived. She was the Comtesse de Chateaubriant & became the 1st official mistress of Francois I of France, in 1518. She was the sister of a queen, Germaine de Foix, the 2nd wife of Ferdinand of Aragon, & the sister-in-law of a queen, Leonor of Navarre, thru her brother Gaston's marriage, but she was *not* a queen herself.
ReplyDeletewow*clearly* you have issues.
