Vintage Graphic Image - Wonderful Robin on Branch

This is a really wonderful vintage Robin image, from an 1890's Children's Encyclopedia! This one has such fantastic detail to it, and it couldn't be more charming!! The original is at the bottom, I've removed the background from the version at the top.

In other news: My blog pal Katrina, from Pugly Pixel, has created a fabulous video tutorial that shows how to make your own Seamless Wallpaper. She used one of my images in the tutorial. As an added bonus, she is offering the 4 gorgeous Wallpapers that you see above for free!!! Go HERE for the Tutorial and the link to the Download.

  1. Hello Karen,

I'm not only commenting about the Robin but your site entirely. It's TERRIFIC! PHONEMINAL! FANTASTIC! As an artist myself (some of my work is posted at Webshots look for Kleia) I'm always on the look out for pictures that I can either incorporate in my own work, or use as a model for my own work. I hope to show you sometime how I will be incorporating your globe with an angel that I've designed (she's in my second gallery on webshots). I've got the costume for her drawn but still have to put in the globe.

As for the Robin...I want to incorporate it with a fairy I have in mind...although I can EASILY draw the bird myself...I have these fairy images that I'm designing called "Peering Fairies" (or Peeking haven't decided yet) And I just had this image of a fairy peering over the Robin's back. So instead of drawing the bird myself from the photo I was GOING to use...I think I will use this handsome fellow instead.

Thank you SO MUCH for creating such a WONDERFUL site! I hope to share with you (most likely through Webshots as I don't have a web page) my endeavors using some of the AWESOME images you have posted here.
