This graphic is from an 1880's wholesale Pharmacy Catalog, for some Eye Guards /Goggles, to be warn while driving, bicycling etc. I think the Man would work really well in your Steampunk projects!

The guy in this add looks just like Nikola Tesla in his early years! And this picture is advertising safety glasses, how funny since Tesla worked with mass electricity.

ReplyDeleteAnd there you have it, 'clear as water' ... in all the joints in the world he walks into mine wearing goggles, $3 for a dozen and chooses the colour smoked. Aha, smoked like a kipper (?) Must be a typo but, hey, who cares, it's such a great advert; Chipmunk, er... I meant steampunk. I need to lie down. Too much excitement.
