Vintage Retro Ornament Image - Red Ball Label

I had such a blast playing with this one today!! This darling Christmas Ornament image was from an old cardboard store display, that I purchased at a local antique mall yesterday. The image probably dates to around the 1950's, I do believe it falls in the public domain, since the copyright does not appear to have been registered and it was published before 1977. I just love the simplicity of this traditional red Christmas ball and I thought it would make a great label, so I added the To and From, in a fun font for you, in case you would like to use it on your gifts!

Vintage Sports Clip Art - Fencing, Tennis?, Golf

This past week I've been working on creating an easier way to for you guys to find images on my site, I'm hoping to unveil it in another week or so. Anyway, the point is, as I make my way through various categories, I've realized that certain categories have been pretty neglected, and in some case the selection is downright pitiful!! I promise to work on that. The Sports category is probably one of the absolute worst (not exactly my cup of tea!), so I'm offering you 3 old dictionary images that are sports related, including a Fencing graphic, some rackets (tennis or badminton? You see I really am clueless in this area!) and lastly some Golf clubs.

Vintage Kitchen Clip Art - Fork, Knife, Spoon

One of my most requested graphics has been a knife, fork, and spoon combo. Some of you may recognize the utensils above. Originally I offered these separately, the knife and fork were together and the spoon was by itself. So this morning I combined the images and I resized and darkened up the spoon, so that it would match the the other 2 pieces. I also enlarged the image so now it's perfectly sized for transferring onto your favorite home decor items! I can picture this on a flour sack towel, wouldn't that make a cute hostess gift for the holidays!!

Antique Ephemera - Torn Paper Texture

I was looking through some old books today (okay yeah, I do that everyday) and this fell out of one of them. Love!! I was instantly struck by how perfectly torn this old page is and I love the patina too. I thought it would make a great texture, and so nice for mixed media collage. I hope you like it too.

Thursday is Request Day - Sweet Baby, Shave Brush, Crochet, Vulture

It's Thursday (and also Thanksgiving!) so that means it's request day here at TGF!

Here's what I found for you this week:

Kelly was wishing for some Baby Announcements. I don't have any actual announcements on hand, but I did find this darling image in an old baby book, that would work great for that purpose!

Momma Button was looking for Barber or Salon tools. I found this wonderful old shaving brush graphic in an old Pharmacy catalog.

Mizdarlin and Carol-Ann both requested Crochet images, this one matches the knitting image that I posted on last weeks request day!

And finally, Mel was looking for a Vulture graphic. This guy is from an early Natural History book.

Well, that's all for this week. Do you have a request for an image? If so please leave it here in the comments section of my Request Day post, and then check back on Thursday to see if I found your requested image (Sorry but I can't fill every request, I usually pick a few each week). Each week I go back and check under my Thursday posts to find what your looking for, it's so much easier for me that way. I'm afraid I'm a very disorganized Fairy, so please, please please Do Not email requests to me, I most likely will loose it if you do. So sorry but I'm a complete mess when it comes to email! I'm afraid they're just aren't enough hours in the day to answer them all, and then I feel horribly guilty.

P.S. Don't forget to use the search box here on my blog, you might find that the image you want is already here!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Crafty Christmas Project - Santa Star Ornaments and Printable

This weeks Crafty Project are these darling little Santa Head Christmas Ornaments!

Click HERE for the Full Size Printable PDF

For this project, I've included a High Resolution printable of the Santa Heads. These were some tiny antique Victorian scrap pieces from my collection, I made them in a couple different sizes for you, in case you have other projects that you would like to use them for.

I used some small Paper Mache stars that I had on hand. I glittered the stars with glass glitter. Next I printed out the Santa heads onto cardstock, cut out the small heads and glittered the edges. I hot glued the heads to a small loop of tinsel, and then hot glued that to the stars.

Quick and easy and they look so cute!!
