This is a pretty little card that I picked up today. This one has pretty pink roses with a silver crescent Moon. I think it would be fun to add some silver glitter to the Moon. It could make a cute Gift Tag!

Vintage Clip Art - Ornate Oval Frame with Scrolls

This is a very pretty graphic frame from a vintage typography book! I really like the romantic scrolls on this one. The black and white image makes a great Photoshop brush, or you could print it out and color it in old school too! This would make a fabulous label!!

In other news: I also made a turquoise version of this frame and sized it to use as a blog banner or header. You can find it at my other site at Backgroundfairy.com.

I just love this old photo! This one features a beautiful young woman dressed in a velvet ballerina style costume. I believe this photo was taken in the early 1920's, it's not from my personal collection, but from an archived source and it is in the public domain.

Thursday is Request Day - Apple, Fountain, Teeth, Bulldog

Once again, it's Thursday so that means it's request day here at TGF!

Here's what I found for you this week:

Two readers, both Gwen & Izzy requested an Apple image. The cute and colorful one above, is from a Victorian game.

Martha had a wish for a fountain. Now that she has the fountain, she can make even more wishes!

Mariah had hopes for some Teeth! This is an early Dental ad from an antique newspaper. Check out the prices. I wouldn't mind snapping up a few of those $1 Gold fillings!

I went ahead and "extracted" (haha) the single tooth, to be used separately, if desired.

And lastly Bri asked for a single Bulldog.

Well, that's all for this week. Do you have a request for an image? If so please leave it here in the comments section of my Request Day post, and then check back on Thursday to see if I found your requested image (Sorry but I can't fill every request, I usually pick a few each week). Each week I go back and check under my Thursday posts to find what your looking for, it's so much easier for me that way. I'm afraid I'm a very disorganized Fairy, so please, please please Do Not email requests to me, I most likely will loose it if you do. So sorry but I'm a complete mess when it comes to email! I'm afraid they're just aren't enough hours in the day to answer them all, and then I feel horribly guilty.

P.S. Don't forget to use the search box here on my blog, you might find that the image you want is already here!

Vintage Clip Art - Pretty Pink Lady in Charming Frame

I just love the colors in this one!! I picked this one up yesterday at one of my favorite antique shops, it's a bit of a drive from my home, but well worth it, as it's filled with rare and wonderful paper items! Anyway, this is an old Trade Card showing a very pretty lady dressed in pink, surrounded by the most charming ornate frame! I've included a version with just the frame, so that you play with that as well.

This would be a fun one to play, especially for collage or scrapbooking ! This is a black and white ornate drape panel with a fancy tassel on the end, circa 1850's. I think it would be nice to sort of frame up photos or artwork by adding this piece to top of the photo.

These are a couple more of the 1920's Vegi graphics. You may recall the Cabbage & Carrots that I posted last week, if you didn't see them you can find them HERE. Today's images are some gorgeous Radishes and some lovely Leeks! Both were vintage seed advertisements. So great to frame and hang in a kitchen, iron on to an Apron or kitchen towels, or even to make into plant stake markers in your garden!

Thursday is Request Day - Chandelier, Iron Bed, Washbowl, Squirrel

Once again, it's Thursday so that means it's request day here at TGF!

Here's what I found for you this week:

Michelle requested a Chandelier image. The one above comes from an 1850's Catalog. I think the round things are glass balls, but they look like bubbles to me!

I believe it was Nancy that had asked for an Iron Bed, a few weeks ago. This one is also Circa 1850's.

Kelly was hoping for a some images for her bathroom. I didn't see a bathtub Kelly, but I found this antique Pitcher and Washbowl graphic.

And lastly Ekorn was hoping for a Squirrel. This one is from an antique Children's book. His name is Frisky!

Well, that's all for this week. Do you have a request for an image? If so please leave it here in the comments section of my Request Day post, and then check back on Thursday to see if I found your requested image (Sorry but I can't fill every request, I usually pick a few each week).
