Easter Clip Art - Darling Vintage Hat Box

Here's a fun little Easter card shaped like an adorable Hat Box!!! The box is covered with pink Tulips and has a big yellow bow on the top. The lace that you see is actually real lace, that was on the card. I think this would make such a cute gift tag!! This image is probably from around the 1950's or 1960's, it was marked made in the USA, and did not have a copyright date on it, so under U.S. Copyright law this particular image should be in the Public Domain. I normally don't use images this recent, but I fell fairly certain that we are safe in using this one in our artwork.

In other news: Congratulations
and a huge thank you to Mendy Slot!!! You may remember this ballerina collage shown above, that I featured HERE last January during "Brag Monday". This gorgeous collage is featured in the latest Somerset publication of "Digital Studio". She was so unbelievably kind to give me credit for the images of mine that she used in this piece. It was such a thrill for me to see my blog mentioned in one of my favorite magazines.

Thanks so much Mendy!!!

Easter Clip Art - Fluffy Chicks - Peeps

I was out antiquing today and came across this darling vintage Easter Card!

I thought these Peeps might work for your last minute Easter projects. So I digitally removed the background and mirrored it so that you can print out a whole flock if you want to.

And then I made a pink one because... well... I just couldn't help myself!

Brag Monday - Lucky Card & Do Not Disturb Sign

It's time for Brag Monday #27! Today I'm bragging about 2 more projects from last week's Brag Monday party.

First I'm bragging about this beautiful bird card created by The Gypsy Magpie! She made this lovely card using the Bird image found HERE. How pretty!

Next I'm bragging about Amylynn from Scrapbooking Over Coffee! Amylynn crafted this oh so sweet ~ Do Not Disturb Sign~ using the antique Pouting Girl graphic found HERE.

Now it's your turn! Have you made something from an image here at The Graphics Fairy that you would like to share? Or do you have a favorite image from here that you would like to share on your blog? Don't be shy, we want to see it!! It's time to brag! You might even be featured on a future Brag Monday post. Just add a link below in the McLinky box.

Here are just a few rules:

1)
Artwork/creations or graphics displayed must include at least one image from this site. (Pssst - you can link to an old post if you like, so check back in your archives)

2)
Add a link to your items specific blog post (in the McLinky gizmo at the bottom of this post) or page, not the main page of your site.

3) Link to this post,
by either adding the "Brag Monday" button to your post. ( Just cut and paste the code above and add it to your post and the button should appear) or just add a link. (This is required and should make things more fun, so that we can all hop around and see every one's creations!) You could also add the button to your sidebar if you like.

4)Test your link
and make sure it's working! If your link gets deleted, it's because you missed one of the rules, so just reread them and post again!

5)Visit
as many of the other "Braggers" ;) as you can and leave comments on their blogs. Oh yeah, and have fun!

I'll leave the MckLinky open until early Tuesday morning so that gives you a little extra time to put something together if you don't already have something to share!

Here's a recent acquisition that I was so pleased to get! (Oh my, I sound like a museum don't I?!) Anyway, this is a fabulous antique Natural History print, circa 1850's! This gorgeous print features some lush green ferns and includes a bit of the roots. Such a great graphic for any garden themed project!

Antique Clip Art - Spencerian Birds with Horseshoe

It's time for yet another graphic in my weekly series "Spencerian Saturday"!!! Every Saturday I add another gorgeous image from an early calligraphy book.

The original scanned version of these charming Pen Flourished birds in a Horseshoe , is seen just above. At the very top of the page, is a version that I made in orange.

This one is a cleaned up version of the original. I think this would be a great one for a wedding, since the birds are shown in a pair and the Horseshoe is a symbol of Good Luck. You could even write the couples names on the banner!

In other news: I've added the 3 column version of the blue and white lacey background to my other blog at Backgroundfairy.com, and it's free of course!

Thursday is Request Day - Regency Lady, Knife & Fork, Washboard, & Circus Tent

Well, it's Thursday so that means it's request day again! Here's what I found for you this week:

Barbara requested Ladies Regency Fashions, as shown above.

Alicia requested Victorian Knives and Forks. Here are some very fancy ones!

Kristen asked for a Washboard Advertisment. This is actually a soap advertisement, but it does have a washboard on it!

And lastly Tammara was hunting high and low for a Circus Tent. This image is a bit small I'm afraid, but so cute. Hopefully she can make use of it!

That's all for this week! If you have a request please leave it here in the comments section, or on a future "request day" post. It makes it so much easier for me to have them all in one place!

Vintage Clip Art - Superb Dove with Moon & Stars

I probably spent more on this one than I should have but... I just couldn't resist!!! I am so infatuated with this image. Have you ever seen a more beautiful Dove?!!! And that dark mysterious background with the moon and stars, really sets the Dove off, in such a magical way. This was an old advertising card for a "beautifying creme". I did do some minor clean up to it, but I left the worn edges because I really like how they compliment the image. I do hope you like it too!
