Once again, it's Thursday so that means it's request day here at TGF!
Here's what I found for you this week:
My first requested image is for Bev who is raising money for the American Cancer Society and needed a Teddy Bear image for an upcoming event. The one you see above is from an old children's book.

Carole was wishing for a Fountain Pen graphic, this one is from an old magazine ad.

LuLuUK was hoping to find a Peacock with it's tail trailing down. I found this black and white image in an old Farm catalog. At some point I hope to find a colored version, but I'm afraid I don't have one yet.
Prudent Homemaker has been searching for a Wren on a branch image, for her daughter. I thought I would have lots of these, but I could only find this one, it's from an antique dictionary.
And lastly Amber requested a Potato or Onion label. Try as I might, I couldn't come up with either, but here are a couple of funny old Potatoes from an agriculture magazine.
Well, that's all for this week. Do you have a request for an image? If so please leave it here in the comments section of my Request Day post, and then check back on Thursday to see if I found your requested image (Sorry but I can't fill every request, I usually pick a few each week). Each week I go back and check under my Thursday posts to find what your looking for, it's so much easier for me that way. I'm afraid I'm a very disorganized Fairy, so please, please please Do Not email requests to me, I most likely will loose it if you do. So sorry but I'm a complete mess when it comes to email! I'm afraid they're just aren't enough hours in the day to answer them all, and then I feel horribly guilty.
P.S. Don't forget to use the search box here on my blog, you might find that the image you want is already here!

ReplyDeleteanything farm related - barn, farmer, a chicken, a cow, a sheep, but the biggie is the pitch fork :)

ReplyDeleteThanks:)

ReplyDeleteI would love a tree image that could be used for a family tree project.
Thanks!
Betty,
ReplyDeleteI'll check in my Agriculture magazines and see if I can come up with something.
Carole,
I'm glad you like the pen!
Suzie,
I was hoping to have a tree for you today, but I ran out of time. Do you have a specific type of tree in mind?
fantastic graphics xoxo karen
ReplyDeleteWhat if a reader (like me) has an image that someone is looking for? Is there a place that I can upload it for the person searching for a certain image? I have an ONION SEED label and a FERTILIZER label with a POTATO MAN.

Thank you so much! Wren enjoyed the picture! I have a couple of ideas for it.
ReplyDeleteMy 5-year-old son suggested printing it out on fabric and making it into a stuffed bird; he wants to make it himself for his sister! I think we'll have to do that, too, somehow (I have a laser printer, not an ink jet, so we may have to try citrasolv).
I love the fountain pen, too--very pretty!
Thank you!
Brandy
Jackie,
ReplyDeleteThere isn't really anyway to upload to my site. If the images are from before 1923, you could email them to me if you like. Or perhaps the reader will see your comment and contact you herself. Thanks for offering to share!
Brandy,
How sweet that your son wants to make a little stuffie for his sister!!! I would love to see a photo, if he makes it!
I love the fountain pen graphic - well I love all of your graphics. I would like to see a pear and another rooster. Thank you for this fabulous blog!
ReplyDeleteDo you have any vintage coffee cups or coffee poster art? I searched your site to no avail... Thank you so much for this terrific resource.
ReplyDeleteHi!! I have some vintage advertisements for you to copy from my 40's cook book and post on your site. Love everything you do and share!! http://beaver-kerrie.blogspot.com have a great day!
ReplyDeleteKaren, just gave the link to my blog that has a vintage coffee tin ad for thelast commenter on your comments, I could not access her to tell her :-)
ReplyDeleteKerrie,
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for sharing! You have some very fun images in your post! Since they were produced after 1923, they may be under copyright still, so I would suggest to anyone using these, that they use them for personal projects only, and not for resale. Just to be safe!
Thank you! I love your site and visit regularly. You always have wonderful images to choose from and I've used them in many projects. I've even printed out some for my Altered Artists' group to use at our meetings. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the Fountain Pen!
ReplyDeleteLove It!
Jill
