It's time for yet another graphic in my weekly series "Spencerian Saturday"!!! Every Saturday I add another gorgeous image from an early calligraphy book.
So, here we have something today that's pretty amazing ... miraculous even!! And so perfect for Easter weekend. According to the book, this fantastic pen flourished image of Jesus was originally all done with the "single stroke of the pen"!! I've also included a more cleaned up image at the top of the page, make sure you click so that you can see all of the incredible detail!

ReplyDeleteLime, no I'm not sick of it all, I'm so grateful for the comments you guys leave here! It really helps me to know what images to look for. If I receive a lot of comments on a particular image, then I know to post more of that type of image. I think of the comments as like votes.

ReplyDeleteI love these! What book are they from? I am a "doodle-aholic"! I constantly have paper and pencil/pen in my hand so they are never at rest! Can I find this book in the library? Antique Store? THANK you so much for sharing these amazing pieces.
