It's time for yet another graphic in my weekly series "Spencerian Saturday"!!! Every Saturday I add another gorgeous image from an early calligraphy book.

The original scanned version of this delightful pen flourished bird with nest, is seen just above, and at the very top of the page, is a version I made just for fun, in lime green.
This one is a cleaned up version of the original. This would be so great to use for wedding invitations, save the date cards, or place setting cards!XXXOOO

I just stumbled across your blog. It's lovely! Thanks for so generously sharing
ReplyDeleteThank you for another pen flourished image. It is very lovely. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThanks Karen. I can't wait to show this to one of my daughters...she graduated from Quincy University. She will like this. Sally
ReplyDeleteWhenever I see these exercises, I think about how long it would take me to make -- and how much paper I'd waste in the process. It's a VERY good thing I wasn't born 120 years ago! :) Thank you for sharing these - they are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteyea, Spencerian Saturday! I love how you post several versions of these, Karen, and I shudder to think of the time you must spend cleaning them up... or do you have a Magic Wand? I can just see you now- abracadabra, pow! :-) Nancy
ReplyDeleteYou certainly have some wonderful vintage clip art to share!
