Free Printable - Gift Certificates

Recently I picked up a whole book of these wonderful very old checks!! I love the typography on these and all the wonderful pretty details that you don't see on modern checks. You can use the above image in your collage or craft projects. I also had a little fun recreating these below, into a different use. I know quite a few of my readers have Etsy shops, Lollishops, websites or brick and mortar shops and thought you might find the gift certificates below handy. They can be great for those blog giveaways too, when you are allowing your reader to pick something from your site or Etsy shop as a prize. You could fill in the certificate and email it to them.


Make sure you click on the sheets to enlarge them and then you can print them out. I made several styles including the original version, Marie Antoinette, Eiffel Tower, a Dress Form, a Frenchy Chair and a blank one where you could add your own logo or design. I hope you like these!

Free Antique Clip Art - Wonderful French Holy Card

This one was another find from my treasure hunt yesterday!! This little piece is a gorgeous antique French holy card from Paris! The card depicts Saint Joseph with the baby Jesus in his arms. This one has the beautiful lace edge still intact, often the lace is damaged but this one is in good shape!

Free Vintage Clip Art - Pretty Fairy Lady

Today I took a trip out to an antique mall that I haven't been to in a long time, as it's a bit of a drive from my house. I was glad I did though, as I found a really fun booth, completely filled with old paper items. The booth was total chaos, with boxes of paper everywhere and ephemera strewn all of the floor, and on top of several tables. I gotta tell ya I was in heaven!! I plunked myself down on the floor and spent over an hour going through it all. I managed to come home with a big bag of loot, including the pretty fairy lady that you see above! I can't wait to share the paper dolls that I got so, stay tuned for those!!

For those of you that asked about what type of scanner I purchased, I'm posting a link below. It's super easy to use and the quality of the scans is fabulous, you can actually have it correct the color and remove dust while it scans. It can save your images in PDF format for you if you like, and it comes with Adobe Photoshop Elements 6. It's also quite fast, even when saving in high resolution, as I always do for my images here so, it's a big time saver for me. I love, love, love it!! I'll be trying out my new printer tomorrow and will report on that one next.

Well, I finally got my new scanner and printer today, I haven't hooked up the printer yet, but I just tried out the scanner on this cute image and so far I am pretty thrilled with it!! Anyway, today's graphic is a marvelous Victorian card featuring 2 children pushing a giant egg boat out into the water!

Free Vintage Clip Art - Keep Calm!

This is the perfect motto for me today! I spent much of the day shopping for the perfect printer/scanner and I still don't have one!! But I think I'm getting close and so I am trying to "Keep Calm" in the meantime. Anyway, I hope you like this archived graphic from an old English war poster. I think it was originally a different color and I made it black and then just for fun I made you a pink version too! These are great fun for so many projects, tote bags, pillows, collage jewelry etc.

Free Vintage Clip Art - Darling Girl with Bird & Nest

Well still no scanner yet, hopefully I can get out and get a new one tomorrow. Thank you so much to all of you that expressed your sympathy for my poor scanner/copier. In the meantime here is another lovely archived image. This one is a marvelous Chocolate ad, with a very pretty little girl. The girl is holding a sweet nest full of eggs, with a Robin perched above her!

Well, today was a sad day, as my scanner/printer died on me. I guess I wore it out from all the scanning I've done over the last 2 years!! I guess I will need to go shopping for a new one this week. Old Advertising Card - Girls with Doll at the Beach

This is quite a charming little piece!! The original copy is actually torn up pretty badly, the entire top left corner was missing and it had multiple tears, I managed to get it fixed up though, and I do think it was worth the effort. This old advertising card features 2 cute little girls with a pretty dolly, at the Seashore. As Summer is coming to an end and school is getting ready to start, I thought this one was a good one for the end of August.

This is a lovely old Wedding photo of a beautiful bride and her bride's maids. I love the pretty ruffles on their dresses and check out those huge bouquets!! I've included two versions here, the first one is the original sepia toned version, and the second one I have cleaned up a bit more. This would make a fun card for a bridal shower!!

Free Antique Clip Art - Pink Map of France

Today's selection is not from my personal collection, it's an archived image and it is in the public domain. This gorgeous French map was so fabulous, I had to pass it along. Can you believe it's pink too?!! How fun! As a bonus, I reworked the little darling cherub distance marker, at the bottom of the map, into a fun label for you to use. I also, changed up the color a bit in the second one, and now it's a bit more garden style. I hope you like these beautiful and very early pieces! Free Vintage Clip Art - Amazing Bluebird with Egg

Well, this is such a special and unusual Victorian card!! Now, I do realize that it's not even close to Easter, and this is actually an Easter card, however I don't think the theme is really Eastery at all so, it could be used for any number of occasions or projects. And really, how could I wait that long to share this lovely piece with you!! There are so many wonderful elements on this piece, including it's size. This is quite large in person, and I scanned it larger than most of my images, so make sure you click on it to see it bigger. I adore this bright colored Bluebird, the over sized egg, and the gorgeous patterned border. I am offering a second image with out the "Easter" wording so that you can add your own touches to the label.

Free Graphic - Stone Angel Photo

Recently my friend Ted returned from a 3 week trip to Italy! I asked him if he wouldn't mind taking some photos of angel statues while he was there, he very nicely obliged, and here is one of the photos he took! This is such a gorgeous stone angel, I love the size of her wings and the beautiful greenery behind her. Ted is allowing us to use the angel as we see fit, in art projects or whatever you fancy. Free Vintage Clip Art - Amazing French Ephemera

Recently I had the pleasure of meeting, via the magic of email, Cher Lashley. Cher is an amazing artist and graphic designer, she currently does all of the designing for Scrapbooking.com and has recently unveiled an exciting new project called Your Memory Book. Your Memory Book is a wonderful online easy peazy digital photobook that you can create in minutes. You can also make other assorted useful items, like calendars and mugs and such.

At any rate Cher is responsible for today's gorgeous antique graphic, this amazing piece of French Ephemera from 1881! Isn't the handwritting just so delicious!! This one made swoon when I saw it!
