So, it's time for the next graphic in my series "Spencerian Saturday"!!! Every Saturday I add another gorgeous image from an early calligraphy book.
The original scanned version of this amazing Pen Flourished Alphabet & Numbers, is seen just above. At the top of the page is the cleaned up version. I just love these old calligraphy scripty letters. I wish my handwriting looked like that!
In other news, I uploaded a new Free Peace Sign Blog Background to my blog Backgroundfairy.com be sure and check it out!XXXOOO

Karen,
ReplyDeleteThanks again for the daily clipart! I wished my handwriting looked like that too!

I love this script, Karen! This looks like the one I would copy over and over again when I was younger, to try and incorporate some of the curves and style into my own handwriting. I've always loved nice handwriting, and appreciated these beautiful old samples--thanks for finding and sharing them.....are you feeling better yet? I hope so!
ReplyDeleteThank you for this; it's great!
ReplyDeleteI am lovin your blog...I found it through a fellow blogger Tammmara..and I have added your button to my own blog....I love the vintage look and hope I can find the time to take part in your Monday challenge...so wonderful share such wonderful inspiration with all of us...thanx!
ReplyDeletewow... so loving these! thankyou Karen!
ReplyDeleteThanks Karen, another great part of the series. Glad you like to share :)
ReplyDeleteI love the old script! This is the way I was taught to write. I did not develop aesthetically pleasing writing however until I was married and practiced for hours. My dad changed me from left handed to right and the older I got, the more the left hand took over again but I did develop a good writing hand with the right. Kerrie
ReplyDeleteHi Karen,
