This is a very interesting piece of Ephemera. This one is an old French tombstone catalog, not something that you see everyday! It may be a bit of a stretch for Halloween, but I think it could be used in your Halloween collages. I love the texture and the typography of the original version at the top. I did make a second version for you of just the frame, because really you can never have too many clip art frames they are so useful! Make sure you click on both of them for the largest version!
If you have time, check out my other blog at Backgroundfairy.com to see the free Mulberry Damask Background with Bling that I just added today!

Fantastic find as usual Karen! You're absolutely right about never having enough clipart frames, LOL.
ReplyDeleteA tombstone catalog? How funny!!
ReplyDeleteKaren,

Hi Abbie, here's another source that might be new for you. http://www.fromoldbooks.org/
ReplyDeleteSome wonderful things there.
Thanks for the great frame.
I'm glad you all liked this one! I will be sharing the contents of the inside, which is actually why I bought it! Inside are beautiful engravings of Angel statues, religious statues, crosses and even stone wreaths. Very cool stuff, I think you'll like it!
ReplyDeleteKaren, thanks so much! I had to do some very last minute placecards for the "Headmaster's Table" at our school's version of Harry Potter's Hogwarts on Friday. I went straight to your blog, found this lovely frame, and in moments had the most perfect placecards! Thanks again!
ReplyDeleteThis is the best site! Just sent the address to my friend.
ReplyDeleteI'm making a book for my husband and needed some art - so I ended up looking at so much of it. Will get back to gluing stuff now.
